About the Department
The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is responsible for all ICT functions and Services in the University. It is headed by the ICT Manager.
The centre plays a central role of providing clear guidance in the integration of technology in teaching, learning, research and overall administration of the University. The centre ensures that IT infrastructure, service delivery norms and new applications deployments are in line with current industry trends and that the systems put in place add true value to the University.

The ICT Department is divided into three sections: Service Delivery, Web Systems Development, and Infrastructure - Networks.
The Service Delivery section ensures the availability of IT applications and user support administration across various campuses of the University. The ICT Helpdesk falls under this section.
The Web Systems Development section manages innovations, new application development, and web systems implementation and rollout. This team is responsible for keeping the University up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.
The Infrastructure - Networks arm of the department ensures consistent network availability and manages bandwidth allocation to users. It also safeguards the University's IT resources against any form of attacks.
