The visiting team, composed of five senior university officers, engaged with Kabarak University leadership in discussions centred on student governance, disciplinary systems, and institutional best practices.

Recognized as a centre of academic excellence and integrity, Kabarak University was identified as a key partner for this knowledge exchange. The discussions focused on several critical pillars of institutional governance, including:

• Management of examination irregularities and the promotion of a strong culture of honesty.
• Effective structures for addressing student misconduct and ensuring fair, transparent disciplinary processes.
• Insights into appeals mechanisms and review procedures that uphold procedural fairness.
• Strategies for student sensitisation aimed at proactively addressing potential misconduct.

This engagement underscores the growing collaboration between Kenya’s leading public and private universities. 

The visit concluded with a tour of university facilities and further deliberations on how the identified best practices can be adapted to strengthen student governance at Kenyatta University.
