Microsoft Africa Development Centre Campus Tour visit at Kabarak University

Kabarak University this morning received a team from the Microsoft Africa Development Centre led by Catherine Muraga, the Managing Director, of Microsoft, Africa Development Centre. The team will be at Kabarak university for the campus tour engagement session with the faculty and the students.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat received the Microsoft, Africa Development Centre team at his boardroom for a courtesy call. He was pleased to see alumni of Kabarak university: Martha Kaburi a Software Engineer and Leonard Oywero a senior, Software Engineering Manager in the team.

He thanked the team for considering Kabarak Univerisity as one of their to-visit places in their engagement with universities in the region and asked Microsoft, Africa Development Centre to consider Kabarak University as their extension in the execution of their duties, he also asked the Dean School of Science Engineering and Technology to have more engagements with Microsoft and even work on engaging them as stakeholders in curriculum review and to strengthen the relationship to grow on a higher level all for the benefit of our students.

The Managing director, of Microsoft, Africa Development Centre Catherine Muraga, also added that at Microsoft ADC, they understand the importance of partnering with the world of academia in order to drive tech talent in the region’s tech ecosystem and that they are looking forward to work even more closely with Kabarak University.

The team will thereafter have engagements with the faculty of science and engineering and technology before meeting with the students. The meeting is geared towards enlightening members and students about Microsoft Africa Development Centre and its opportunities.

The students will get to learn so much about the opportunities they have as students and what awaits them after school.

Kabarak University continues to take students’ interests in heart by engaging major stakeholders and future employers in the business of level-best training for a highly skilled coming generation.
