The Kabarak University Christian Union, hosted a powerful External Worship Experience, bringing together students for a night of worship, fellowship, and the transformative teaching of the Word.
The event featured Guest Speaker Pastor Ezekiel Kayeli from Kahawa Sukari Baptist Church, who delivered a powerful sermon drawn from the biblical story of Peter in Luke 5, where Jesus instructed the fishermen to cast their nets deeper into the sea after a long night of catching nothing.
In his message, Pastor Ezekiel reminded students that just like Peter, many people often feel discouraged after trying so hard without seeing results. However, Jesus’ instruction to “launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch” teaches believers the importance of obedience, faith, and trusting God beyond human understanding.
He emphasized that Peter’s miracle came not because the circumstances had changed, but because he chose to obey the voice of Jesus despite his doubts. When Peter followed the instruction and cast the nets deeper, the result was an overwhelming catch of fish, a sign that breakthrough often comes when we trust God enough to go deeper in faith.

Pastor Ezekiel challenged students to:
- Step out of their comfort zones
- Trust God even when situations seem impossible
- Go “deeper” in their relationship with Christ through prayer, obedience, and faith
The night was also marked by powerful moments of praise and worship led by ministers from Kahawa Sukari Baptist Church
