Kabarak University at the Kenya Innovation Week 2023

A delegation consisting of 6 staff members and 6 students proudly represented our university at the prestigious Kenya Innovation Week (KIW). The annual event is hosted by the Kenya National Innovation Agency at the Edge Convention Center in Nairobi between November 27th and December 1st, 2023.

The opening ceremony of the event was graced by President William Samoei Ruto, who also visited the University stand at the exhibition. Key innovations presented to His Excellency were the Electronic Voting System (EVIS) and Mama's Hub. The event further saw the participation of distinguished guests, including Hon. Ababu Namwamba, EGH, Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, and The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.

The event, which is taking place between November 28 and December 1, features key sessions such as the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit, a Commercialization Summit, the Green Digital Innovation Hub launch, a Students Innovation Summit, an Intellectual Property Rights Summit, the Commonwealth Women Entrepreneurs Summit, an AI Summit, a Public Sector Innovation Summit, the Presidential Innovation Award pitches, and a Startup Summit.
