In a proactive initiative, the Faculty of Mass Communication under the School of Music and Media at Kabarak University has been on a marketing outreach aimed at promoting its diverse media programs across the country.
The campaign, which took place throughout the month of July, saw faculty members travel to several counties across Kenya to engage with prospective students and stakeholders in the media industry.
The outreach focused on raising awareness about the wide range of academic programs offered within the Mass Communication Department. These include Certificate of Mass Communication, Diploma in Mass Communication, Bachelor's of Mass Communication, and Postgraduate Diploma programs in Mass Communication. All the programmes are designed to equip learners with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills essential for today’s fast-paced media landscape.
The drive was not only about boosting enrollment but also about sharing the university’s vision for media and communication education
The faculty team visited various counties, where they met with potential students, high school leavers, guidance counselors, and even media practitioners interested in further studies. In every county, the team hosted interactive sessions, handed out brochures, and offered career guidance with the goal of connecting with young people passionate about media and communication.
This outreach effort is part of a broader strategy by the School of Music and Media to make Kabarak University a top choice for aspiring media professionals. It reflects the institution’s commitment to not only offering quality education but also ensuring that it reaches those who need it most, from the bustling towns to the quiet villages across Kenya.
With a clear message of excellence, integrity, and innovation, Kabarak University is reaffirming its position as a leading center for media and communication training in the region.
