On October 26, 2024, Kabarak University's Africa Youth Leadership Forum (AYLF) chapter took a significant step in advancing its mission to nurture impactful leaders by attending the annual AYLF Leadership Summit at Mount Kenya University’s Main Campus. With this year’s theme, “Shaping the Future of Leadership in Africa,” the summit aimed to strengthen Africa's leadership foundation—a goal that resonates deeply within the Kabarak University community.
Renowned speakers shared powerful insights, guiding participants in realizing their leadership potential and the opportunities available to them. Key themes included the role of women and youth in leadership, the link between leadership and economic growth, and the implications of robust governance for sustainable development. These discussions underscored the pressing need for ethical and informed leaders, equipped with both practical knowledge and a vision for Africa's future.
Participants were also equipped with life skills essential for effective leadership, preparing them to take on roles of influence both now and in the future. The summit fostered a deep sense of camaraderie and purpose among attendees, reinforcing the value of AYLF as a network committed to cultivating a new generation of leaders in Africa.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the members of The University Management Board (UMB) for their unwavering support. Their dedication to student development and leadership has been invaluable, enabling us to continue our journey toward a brighter future for Africa.
Kabarak University remains committed to empowering students with the skills and values needed to become visionary leaders who will make meaningful contributions both locally and globally.
