The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, this afternoon led a key Project Management Review, accompanied by members of the University Management Board. This strategic exercise was to evaluate the progress of major capital and developmental projects across the University. The review ensured that ongoing infrastructural developments remain aligned with the institution’s long-term vision and its commitment to academic excellence.
During the assessment, the Vice-Chancellor and the team reviewed the status of several priority projects, noting significant achievements and upcoming milestones. A major highlight was the evaluation of the newly completed air-conditioning system in the Convocation Hall, an upgrade designed to enhance comfort and functionality in the University’s primary assembly venue. Updates were also received on the completed partitioning of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences laboratories, a development that will further support specialized medical training.

The management team finalized arrangements for the inspection of the new Physiotherapy Unit at the University Medical Centre and confirmed plans for the ground-breaking of the Anatomy Laboratory at the Teaching, Mission, and Referral Hospital. These initiatives represent major strides toward strengthening the University’s medical training infrastructure and expanding its capacity to deliver high-quality health sciences education.
