Kabarak University celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of our students who have earned their gold certificates for completing the prestigious President’s Award Kenya (PA) journey. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, recognized these achievers, urging the entire Kabarak student body to embrace such transformative initiatives and to strive for greatness in all aspects of their lives. He affirmed his steadfast support for students committing to personal and community development. This year, Kabarak University stood out as the top institution with the highest number of gold awardees, demonstrating a strong commitment to the PA journey and effective mentorship in guiding students through its stages.
Throughout their PA journey, these students excelled across four core areas. They dedicated themselves to skill-building, cultivating leadership, creativity, and practical abilities that expanded their horizons and prepared them for diverse challenges. In physical recreation, they committed to activities that enhanced physical fitness, self-discipline, and mental resilience, embracing a holistic approach to personal wellness and goal-setting. Their pursuit of growth extended to the community, where, through volunteer service, they made meaningful contributions, showcasing empathy, compassion, and a drive to positively impact society.
The adventurous journey component of the program was both thrilling and challenging. Students worked as teams to navigate unfamiliar terrain, overcoming obstacles that tested their resilience and leadership skills. This experience honed their teamwork and adaptability, reinforcing a spirit of perseverance that will serve them well in their future endeavors. Their successful completion of the PA journey is a point of pride for both the students and the university, underscoring Kabarak’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, resilient leaders prepared to make a lasting difference.
