Kabarak University Launches a New Home for Sports Greatness at Main Campus

Kabarak University has truly raised the bar—both literally and figuratively—with the unveiling of its brand-new, world-class sports facility at the Main Campus. Featuring two state-of-the-art FIBA-standard basketball courts, alongside courts for lawn tennis and volleyball, this facility is a game-changer for our student-athletes. The launch event was an exciting blend of celebration, inspiration, and a shared sense of purpose that marked a proud moment for the university.

Leading the charge was Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat, who was joined by members of the university management in cheering on this monumental achievement. Rev. Justus Mutuku, the Acting Provost, added a spiritual touch by dedicating the facility to God, setting a tone of excellence and discipline—both on and off the court.

Captains from the university’s sports teams shared their enthusiasm, passionately expressing how the new facility will propel Kabarak’s name to greater heights. The men’s basketball coach, already preparing for the upcoming East African Championships in December, highlighted how the cutting-edge courts would give his team a competitive advantage. "With a facility like this, we’re not just participants—we’re contenders," he declared confidently.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Kiplangat reaffirmed Kabarak University’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the futures of its students. “Kabarak isn’t just a university; it’s a launchpad for world-class talent,” he said, underscoring that this facility represents the university’s dedication to producing global stars—whether in academics or athletics.

As the sun set over the gleaming courts, one thing was clear: Kabarak University is not just playing the game; it’s redefining it.
