Exploring the Lion King's Kingdom: Kabarak University Journalism Club's Epic Adventure in Hell's Gate National Park

The Kabarak University Journalism Club recently took a trip to Hell's Gate National Park in Kenya to explore the locations where the famous Disney movie, The Lion King, was filmed. The students had an amazing time learning about the wildlife, geology, and history of the park, as well as engaging in a range of fun activities, including biking, hiking, swimming at the Olkaria geo-thermal spa, and participating in team building activities.

Hell's Gate National Park is a unique and stunning location, known for its natural hot springs, towering cliffs, and dramatic gorges. The park is also home to a wide range of wildlife, including baboons, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species.

During the trip, the students had the opportunity to explore some of the iconic locations where The Lion King was filmed, including the towering red cliffs that served as the backdrop for the iconic "Circle of Life" scene. They also visited the "Gorge of Empress," where Simba is seen on the run from the hyenas in the movie.

In addition to exploring the park, the students also engaged in a range of fun and challenging activities. They hiked through the stunning landscapes, enjoying the fresh air and the breathtaking scenery. They also had the chance to bike through the park, taking in the sights and sounds of the surrounding wildlife.

One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Olkaria geo-thermal spa. Here, the students were able to relax and unwind in the warm, therapeutic waters, surrounded by stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.

Another important aspect of the trip was the opportunity for the students to participate in team building activities. These activities were designed to help the students work together, improve their communication and leadership skills, and build trust and camaraderie among the group.

Overall, the Kabarak University Journalism Club's trip to Hell's Gate National Park was a truly unforgettable experience. Not only did the students have the opportunity to learn about the locations where The Lion King was filmed, but they also had the chance to engage in a range of fun and challenging activities, and to develop important skills and relationships that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
