Kabarak University has officially concluded Library Open Week 2026, a week-long initiative dedicated to strengthening research culture, promoting awareness of electronic resources, and empowering both students and staff with essential academic support tools. The closing ceremony brought together members of university management, library staff, and students in a reflective and celebratory gathering.
Speaking during the event, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplagat commended the library team for their commitment to enhancing teaching, learning, and research across all campuses. He emphasized the central role of the university library in fostering a knowledge-driven academic environment and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to continued investment in digital resources and information literacy.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his appreciation to University Librarian Patricia Chebet, recognizing her exemplary leadership throughout the Open Week and her consistent dedication to service. He also acknowledged the entire library team for their professionalism, innovation, and the meaningful support they provide to the university community.
In his remarks, he further recognized all university staff whose collaborative efforts contributed to the success of the Open Week, noting that their input is vital to the institution’s vision of academic excellence grounded in Christian values. The event also celebrated student engagement, with outstanding library users receiving recognition for their commitment to research and academic growth.
