On Saturday, 19th October 2024, the Kabarak University Scouts Association, led by Boaz Masika Omato, conducted a successful outreach visit to Emmanuel Children’s Home in Ngata, Nakuru. The initiative, which ran from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, was aimed at fostering meaningful interactions between the Scouts and the children at the home through a series of fun, educational, and mentorship activities.
On October 10th, 2024, Kabarak University Scouts, under the leadership of Scout Captain Boaz Masika Omato, participated in the annual Mazingira Day celebrations held in Nakuru Town East. The event, organized by the Nakuru County Department of Environment, aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.
Kabarak University has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the 2024 ENACTUS National Championship. Triumphing over stiff competition from Kenyatta University, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, Maseno University, Moi University (both A and B campuses), University of Nairobi, and Laikipia University, the Kabarak ENACTUS team has secured Kenya's spot at the global ENACTUS competition in Astana, Kazakhstan, this October.
On Saturday, 27th July 2024, Kabarak University AYLF chapter members embarked on a hiking expedition. Led by Christopher Nyakundi, the current chapter coordinator, and accompanied by Ms. Veronicah Kombich, 38 club members set off on this adventure. Despite the chilly morning, the students were brimming with enthusiasm for the day ahead.
The Africa Youth Leadership Forum (AYLF) at Kabarak University's City Campus is more than just a club – it's a vibrant hub where young minds come together to learn, grow, and make a difference. Founded last semester, AYLF City Campus has quickly established itself as a key player in the student community, fostering leadership, social engagement, and environmental responsibility.
