Kabarak University marked a significant leadership transition today with the Swearing-in and Dedication Ceremony for the newly elected Kabarak University Student Organization (KUSO) leaders. The solemn event, held at the Convocation Hall Chapel, emphasized the essence of servant leadership, integrity, and commitment to service.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat delivered an inspiring sermon, quoting Tokunboh Adeyemo's assertion that "leadership is everything", reinforcing the idea that the success of any institution or nation is anchored on the quality of its leaders. He commended the outgoing KUSO leadership, headed by Pravin Forester Kokeyo, for their dedication and service, while extending best wishes to the new team as they take up their responsibilities.
The dedication prayer during the ceremony highlighted the need for divine guidance as the newly sworn-in leaders embarked on their term of service.
The newly inaugurated KUSO leadership team represents a broad spectrum of student interests, including academics, welfare, spiritual life, and social activities. The team comprises:
- Margaret Bilha Nyongesa – Chairperson
- Kelly Kiprono Rutto – Vice Chairperson
- Owen Ngeywa – Secretary-General
- Moses Gichia – Deputy Secretary-General
- Nzioka Elizabeth – Treasurer
- Joseph Pal Char – Director of International Students Affairs
Additionally, various directors will oversee sports, recreation, spiritual affairs, hostels, clubs, and social activities across both the Main and City Campuses. Notably, the university introduced a new office dedicated to international students, reaffirming Kabarak University's commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
