The Department of Spiritual & Student Affairs, led by the Acting University Provost, Rev. Justus Mutuku, recently held a two-day crusade at Kampi ya Moto Market Place on February 15th and 16th. The event was an opportunity for the university to extend its reach beyond campus and share the message of salvation with the wider community.
On the first day of the crusade, Pastor Juma preached a powerful sermon, drawing the crowd closer to God’s word with a message of hope and redemption. The second day featured a sermon by Theology student Sospeter, with Provost Mutuku offering his spiritual guidance and support. Together, they shared the message of God’s deep desire for every person to come to repentance and be saved.
The overarching theme of the crusade was "Not wanting anyone to perish" (2 Peter 3:9), and Rev. Mutuku emphasized five core truths during his message. First, he reminded the audience that God is there, always present in their lives. He assured them that God knows them personally, acknowledging their struggles, joys, and desires. Further, he conveyed the comforting truth that God sees them, no matter where they are or what they are going through. With God’s limitless power, He has the ability to do it – to transform lives and bring healing. Finally, Rev. Mutuku encouraged everyone to remember that God is willing to receive them, offering open arms to all who seek Him.
This crusade was not only a moment of spiritual growth but also a manifestation of Kabarak University’s dedication to nurturing faith, promoting community, and spreading the message of Christ’s love beyond the walls of the campus.
