CLACLE PARTNERSHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS COMMITTEE
The Partnership and Internship committee has the duty of ensuring that CLACLE develops strong collaborations with courts, law firms, civil society organizations, government departments, and the community. It also has the obligation of creating internship opportunities for CLACLE members in various legal institutions.
CLACLE, through the partnership and internship committee, hasbeen able to partner with the following institutions;
- The African Court on Human and Peoples Rights- to offeran internship to Kabarak law students at the court in Arusha
- The Network of African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI)- Webinars, legal aid, and awareness activities
- National Legal Aid Service- Nakuru- pro bono cases, legal aid and awareness activities, internship
- Strathmore Law Clinic - Internship
- Kabark Law School Alumni Association- pro bono services
Through the partnerships with these institutions, CLACLE has made the following achievements;
- Two students attended the internship at the African Court on Human and Peoples Rights in Arusha
- Two students attendedan internship at the Strathmore Law Clinic
- CLACLE and the Network of African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI) conducted a joint webinar
- The Nakuru National Legal Aid Service allocated a pro bono case to CLACLE
- Two Kabarak School of Law Alumni Association members provide pro bono services to the cases handled by CLACLE.
