Join the Health Movement: Kabarak University Hosts Week-Long Health Awareness Campaign

Kabarak University in partnership with a range of healthcare providers is set to host a week-long health awareness campaign at the Kabarak University Medical Annex. The initiative, organized by the students affairs department in collaboration with eyecare consultants, Dandelion Africa, KABU Medical Center, bookstand circle, outreach and linkages, and the Kabarak University school of pharmacy, aims to raise awareness about various health issues affecting people in the community.

Dubbed the Kabarak University Health Awareness Week, the campaign will run from today to 24th February 2023, and will feature a range of health checks including cancer screening (breast, cervical, and prostate), HIV and AIDS, blood sugar, hypertension, eye problems, and mental health. These health checks are crucial in the early detection and management of various health issues, which in turn can save lives.

Health awareness week is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together to learn and raise awareness about a range of health issues. The week-long event will also feature a series of health talks scheduled to take place every day from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Kabarak University Bethel Auditorium. These talks will be delivered by health experts from different fields and will cover a range of topics related to health and wellness.

The partnership with a range of healthcare providers means that the community will have access to a variety of health services under one roof. This is especially important given the COVID-19 pandemic, which has made accessing healthcare services more challenging than before. The Kabarak University Medical Annex is well-equipped with modern equipment, and the healthcare providers are experienced and dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to the community.

The Kabarak University Health Awareness Week is an excellent initiative that showcases the University's commitment to promoting health and wellness in the community. It is also an excellent opportunity for the community to learn and access a range of healthcare services, all in one place. The week-long event will undoubtedly go a long way in helping to improve the health outcomes of the community.
