The University of Ibadan (UI) and Kabarak University, Kenya, are set to expand their collaborative efforts in higher education following a recent visit by Kabarak University s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Henry Kiplangat, to UI. During the visit, Professor Peter O. Olapegba, UI s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), representing UI s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, reaffirmed the institutions commitment to their partnership. This partnership includes a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that covers research, academic staff and student exchanges, joint degree programs, and shared academic resources. Professor Olapegba welcomed Professor Kiplangat s participation in UI's 2024 Convocation ceremonies and 76th Foundation Day, where Professor Kiplangat delivered a public lecture on "Transformational Leadership in Higher Education: Empowering Africa's Future."
