Kabarak University has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the 2024 ENACTUS National Championship. Triumphing over stiff competition from Kenyatta University, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, Maseno University, Moi University (both A and B campuses), University of Nairobi, and Laikipia University, the Kabarak ENACTUS team has secured Kenya's spot at the global ENACTUS competition in Astana, Kazakhstan, this October.
The winning project, "ThermoSoothe, " is an innovative device created by the "Save the Sicklers" team. Led by Bahati Innocent and comprising Cheptoo Qannick, Sylvia Gati, Patricia Njeri, Boaz Masika, and Debra Moraa, the team has developed a solution to alleviate the pain of sickle cell disease. ThermoSoothe combines thermal massage and air pressure technology to improve patient's quality of life.
