Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon. Musalia Mudavadi Extols Kabarak University as a Beacon of Pride for Kenya

The Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon Musalia Mudavadi attended the 2023 Friends United Meeting (FUM) hosted at Kabarak University. In his keynote speech, he expressed his admiration for the university and its contribution to the nation's pride. He credited the vision and passion for education of the late Second President of Kenya, Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, for the establishment of Kabarak University.

Hon. Mudavadi commended the university for its continued achievements and recognized the outstanding leadership of Professor Henry K. Kiplangat, the Vice Chancellor. He applauded Professor Kiplangat for his dedication to upholding the values and standards of the institution, which has consistently raised the flag of Kabarak University.

During his speech, Hon. Mudavadi promised to make more visits to Kabarak University to celebrate the good work of Professor Kiplangat and to witness the university’s positive impact on its students and the community. This affirmation of support from a high-ranking government official is a testament to the university's reputation and its commitment to excellence in education.

The FUM is a global gathering of the Quaker community held every three years. In 2023, Kabarak University was honored to host this sacred event, which focuses on spiritual nourishment, community building, and global collaboration. With its strong Christian foundation, beliefs, and ethics, Kabarak University provided the perfect setting for the gathering, bringing together Friends from all corners of the world.

The event took place in the university's auditorium, where participants from diverse backgrounds and cultures congregated. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as members were treated to captivating performances by the Kabarak University Choir. The attendees enthusiastically sang and danced along to the students' presentations, showcasing the university's vibrant and talented community.

The FUM proved to be a melting pot of ideas, experiences, and perspectives. People from all walks of life exchanged knowledge and fostered meaningful connections. Attendees greeted old friends and embraced new acquaintances, cherishing the opportunity to connect with fellow seekers on their spiritual journeys.

Hon. Musalia Mudavadi's presence at the event demonstrated the importance of education and spirituality in the development of Kenya. As the Prime Cabinet Secretary, his support for Kabarak University underscores the government's commitment to nurturing academic institutions that uphold strong moral values and produce competent graduates.
