Kabarak University today hosted the second public lecture this year. The public lecture themed “The Question of Intelligent Design: We Follow the Evidence where it leads” was hosted by the School of Science Engineering & Technology in conjunction with the BioCosmos Africa and BioCosmos Kenya.

Intelligent Design is defined as the science that studies signs of intelligence in Nature. It is a scientific theory that holds that the emergence of some features of the universe and living things is best explained by an intelligent cause rather than an un-directed process such as natural selection.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat in his opening remarks noted that Kabarak University and BioCosmos share the same belief that life did not just come by itself neither did we come from nothing but was designed by an intelligent designer.

Presenters from BioCosmos included, Dr. Richard Ochieng (Chairperson BioCosmos Kenya), Dag Kr. Norli (CEO BioCosmos Africa/Norway), Prof. Kjell Tveter (BioCosmos Africa/Norway) and Dr. Paul A. Nelson (Discovery Institute- USA).

Members of the Kabarak University Management present were; Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic & Research Prof. John Ochola, Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration & Finance Prof. Ronald Chepkilot, Registrar Academic & Research Dr. Antony Somba and Registrar Administration & Human Resource Dr. Simon Kipchumba
