Opening Dates, Registration and Fee Payment for September Semester, 2023

All students (except those proceeding on long holiday and those on suspension) are informed that the opening dates for September Semester 2023 will be as follows:

  • Registration of New Students will be on 4th - 5th September 2023.
  • Reporting date for Continuing Students: 6th September 2023.
  • Classes for Continuing Students will start on 7th September 2023.
  • Classes for New Students will start on 7th September 2023.
  • Orientation for New Students: 25th - 27th September 2023.

Registration: The registration Portal for continuing students will be opened on 1st September, 2023 and closed on 8th September, 2023. Registration for continuing students will require one to have cleared fees for the previous semester. To register the units, complete the following procedure:

  • Log in to the students portal
  • Click on the Course registration link
  • Select all the units you wish to register, then click the Select button
  • Click submit button to register the selected units.
  • Check to ensure the registered units are listed below the registration page.

Students are required to confirm their registration status in the student portal. Those with retakes are required to register the retakes first before registering any new units.

Campus or Program Transfer: Students who wish to apply for campus or program transfer must complete the relevant application forms and submit to the Office of Registrar (Academic and Research) by 8th September 2023.

Fee Payment Deadline: All continuing students are required to pay at least 60% of fees on or before the opening date. The balance of 40% shall be paid by 10th October 2023. After this date, there shall be a surcharge of Kshs. 1000 per semester or any day thereof on any account that has not been fully paid.

Hostel Room Allocation: Students who have registered and paid fees and wish to stay in the University hostels can request for accommodation as per the booking guidelines given by the University.

Class Lists and Attendance of Classes: The Schools shall produce the class lists before the opening date. Lecturers shall require students to sign class attendance on the class lists generated from the registration system.
