Breaking into Tech Careers

The GDSC held an online career discussion on Saturday 24th September 2022 from 10:00 am - 12:20 pm. The event was hosted by Michael Wekesa (GDSC Lead) and Sophia Kariuki (GDSC core lead – Social Media and Marketing). The discussions in the forum, attended by 75 students, focused on the do, don't, and insights from industry professionals on one’s journey in the tech industry.

Call for Reviewers for Research Ethics

The Kabarak University Research Ethics is accredited by National Commission for Science Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) to conduct ethics reviews in the area of Biomedical, Environmental, and Social Sciences. To effectively discharge this mandate, the Research Ethics is calling upon qualified applicants to submit their documents for training in areas of Ethics. The suitable applicants will be vetted by the University Ethics Board.

Meet The Author

Ambreena Manji is a Land Law and Development Professor at Cardiff University, where she co-founded the Law and Global Justice Centre. Previously seconded as the Director of British Institute in Eastern Africa (2010 -2014). Her research is focused on Law and Society in Africa.

Kabarak University awarded USD 400 during the Bic Education Challenge

The Kabarak Enactus team won USD 400 after emerging the 2nd runner-up during the 3rd Edition of the Bic Education Challenge. The Kabarak University students came up with an innovation dubbed “Solarfil”, a project that fabricates a jiko to reduce the volume of Carbon IV oxide using a solar-powered filter.

Kabarak University students win the Wildlife Easy Competition.

Meli Stacy Jepchumba (right) a student from the School of Business and Economics was the 1st runner-up, and Lilian Ngina (left) was the 2nd runner-up under the higher education institution category, during the Wildlife Easy Competition. The competition was part of the celebration to mark the International Wildlife Day which was held at Lake Nakuru national park.
