Kabarak University through School of Pharmacy conducted an Outreach activity on 8th to 10th September, 2021.

Sanitary pads and face masks drive outreach

The Outreach and linkages section of the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Outreach in partnership with Safaricom PLC carried out an Outreach activity on 29th October 2021 .The team visited three schools (St. Mary primary school, Kampi ya Moto primary and Kampi ya Moto secondary in Rongai sub county)

Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Outreach

Kabarak University through the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Outreach organized and invited Dandelion Africa to conduct a 2 day sensitization and testing on HIV and Cervical Cancer to students and staff of Kabarak University on 23rd and 24th June 2021.

Safari Rally Tourism & Hospitality Staff Capacity Building Outreach

Kabarak University, School of Business and Economics held an outreach through Nakuru tourism Association during the Naivasha WRC Safari rally tourism and hospitality staff capacity building, training of trainers between 26th and 29th May 2021.

Mercy Njeri Secondary School Outreach

Students and staff from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences in partnership with the Outreach and Linkages section of the Directorate of Research visited Mercy Njeri Secondary school in Nakuru County for an outreach activity.

Book Donations

Dr. Moses Thiga, a Senior Lecturer at Kabarak University in the School of Science, Engineering and Technology paid a visit to the Kenya National Library Service, Nakuru County and the Nakuru County Director of Education on 3rd August 2021. During these visits, he donated 45 copies of his book titled ‘A Handbook for Establishing Computer Clubs in Kenyan High Schools’ and 530 copies of the book titled ‘How to be Safe Online’ donated by Google.

Harambee Khalsa Primary Outreach

Ms Faith Yator, the Coordinator of Outreach and Linkages in the Directorate of Research Innovation and Outreach paid a visit to the girls of Harambee Khalsa primary in Nakuru East Sub County on 16th March 2021. During the visit 100 class seven and class eight girls received guidance on issues such as drug abuse and early sex exposure.
