GTBank Kenya Executives Explore Partnership Opportunities with Kabarak University

Kabarak University had the honour of hosting a Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Kenya delegation. The team, comprising Caroline Tegek, Head of Treasury and Business; Felix Kiema, Business Development Manager for Nakuru; and Doreen Ndeke, Accounts Officer, paid a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Henry Kiplangat. The meeting was also attended by members of the university’s management team.

Guaranty Trust Bank Kenya, a subsidiary of Guaranty Trust Bank Limited, has been a key player in the Kenyan banking sector since entering the market in 2013 through the acquisition of Fina Bank Group. Over the past decade, GTBank Kenya has remained committed to fostering growth and empowering individuals, businesses, and communities nationwide.

In December 2024, the bank celebrated its 10th anniversary by launching GTMazao, a tailored financial product designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya. This innovative offering allows business owners to earn interest on their bank balances with no transaction limits, effectively combining scale and flexibility to meet the financial needs of this critical sector.

The university looks forward to potential collaborations that will benefit both the academic community and the broader society.
