Kabarak University Hosts Prestigious John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition

Kabarak Law School successfully hosted the 11th edition of the Africa Regional Rounds of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition. The prestigious event, held in 2024, kicked off with an opening ceremony at the Katiba Auditorium. Following a series of preliminary rounds, the competition culminated in highly contested semi-final and final stages.

Professor John Ambani, Dean of the School of Law, commended the participants for their exceptional performances. Highlighting the immense effort put forth by all the teams, he remarked that the level of legal argumentation displayed in the final round was unprecedented.

The competition reached its climax with a Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony. The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Professor Henry Kiplangat, Vice-Chancellor of Kabarak University, and Dr. Paul W.C. Kangira, the Chief Guest and Senior Director of Human Resource Management and Development at the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry.

The Vice-Chancellor received high praise from speakers throughout the evening, recognized for his unwavering support of the competition and his dedication to establishing Kabarak as a leading law school in Africa. Representatives from the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) also commended the high level of competition and the impressive performances by the participants.
