Kabarak University is pleased to announce the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Estate of the late Hon. Dr. Bonaya Godana. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, presided over the signing ceremony alongside Hon. Sara Bonaya, representing the Estate of the late scholar and statesman. This partnership establishes a framework for cooperation between the two parties to honor the memory of Dr. Godana as a distinguished thought leader in Kenya and the international community.
The collaboration focuses on the establishment of the Bonaya Godana Project for Public International Law. Through this initiative, Kabarak University intends to promote the study of public international law in Africa, hosting public lectures and conducting research to preserve the legacy of Dr. Godana’s significant contributions to the field. This project aligns with the University’s broader mission to provide Afrocentric scholarship and maintain strategic partnerships that enhance the academic experience for learners.

Hon. Sara Bonaya, acting as the legal representative of the Estate, has consented to the use of the late Dr. Godana’s name for this educational project. Both parties are committed to ensuring that the project enhances the reputation of the deceased while advancing the study of great Africans whose work continues to shape the continent today. This agreement marks a significant milestone in integrating historical excellence with contemporary legal education.
