This week marks the end of the Kabarak Law Review 2022-2023 Editorial Board’s term. This distinguished Board comprised of Laureen Nyamu (Editor-in-Chief), Patricia Cheruiyot (Managing Editor), David Arita (Peer Review Editor), Alex Tamei (Editor in charge of the Kabarak Law Review Blog), Caleb Kipkorir (Source and Fact-Checking Editor), and Nadya Rashid Musa (Associate Editor).

The oath-taking and Graduands dedication ceremony for the Kabarak University Pharmacy Class of 2023 was a defining moment on the theme “like a tree, a pharmacist grows’’. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat emphasized the transformative journey ahead. Beyond academic success, he highlighted the profound role these graduates will play in healthcare. Their responsibilities as pharmacists extend far beyond medications—they are custodians of health, advocates for patients, and agents of progress in medical science.

The scenic Lake Bogoria Spa and Resort served as the exquisite backdrop for the Kabarak University School of Science Engineering and Technology’s (SSET) Finalists Dinner. This event, hosted by the Kabarak University SSET Students Association (KUSSA), marked a significant moment of celebration and recognition for the academic accomplishments of the graduating finalists across various engineering programs.

Pursuant to its mandate under Statute XXXI. Kabarak University has nominated Honorable Justice David Kenani Maraga for the Conferment of Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) of Kabarak University at the 19th Graduation Ceremony on Friday, December 15, 2023. The Conferment of Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) to Honorable Justice Maraga is a fitting recognition of his extraordinary contribution to our nation and the legal profession, spanning forty-five (45) years as an Advocate of the High Court, thirteen (13) years of which he spent as Judge of the High Court and Court of Appeal, and four (4) years as Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kenya.

Amidst the radiant glow of candlelight and the palpable aura of achievement, Kabarak University's School of Medicine and Health Sciences hosted a momentous ceremony at the Kabarak University K-law hall. It was an evening of Oathing, Pinning, Candle Lighting, and Graduates' Dedication Ceremony—a celebration that resonated far beyond the walls of the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplagat, extended a courtesy call today to key figures in the university's sports community. The meeting included discussions with the Sports Officer, Mr. David Langat, the outgoing Sports Director, Beryl Oyoo, and the captains of various sports disciplines, including table tennis, basketball, football, and rugby. This gathering comes on the heels of Kabarak University's triumph in the Rift Valley Championships, earning them the honor of representing the institution at the national level.
