The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Henry K. Kiplangat is delighted to announce that the great Kabarak University has been accepted as a permanent member of the Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi), with the designation taking effect on October 6, 2022. GUNi is a leading think tank on higher education policy and management, with 290 members from 86 countries and support from UNESCO and the United Nations University.

Kabarak University through the Vice-Chancellor Professor Henry Kiplangat is proud to announce that the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences (SEHSS) has received approval from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to establish a UNESCO Chair on Culture and Arts in Education for Sustainable Education. This marks Kabarak University as the third private university in Kenya to receive this distinction and one of only 10 UNESCO Chairs in the country.

Kabarak University, known for its innovation and forward-thinking approach, earlier this morning hosted a student organization debate in its multi-purpose Mega Meeting Hall. The debate gave contestants the opportunity to express their manifesto and ask for support and votes leading up to the upcoming elections. The elections will take place on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, and will be held online through the university's e-voting system.

Kabarak University made a splash at the Kenya University Sports Association (KUSA) Rift region, hosted by the university on January 28th and 29th 2023. Kabarak university team took first place in swimming, showing their strength in the water. They also came in second in athletics, proving their versatility and athletic ability. Kabarak took third place in the play-offs in rugby, behind Moi University and Egerton University.

Kabarak Law School is proud to announce the outstanding performance of its team at the second edition of the International Criminal Law Moot Court Competition, held at Strathmore University. The team, consisting of Russel Crowe, Ann Kariuki, and Levy Masinde, put forth a remarkable effort and achieved great success.

Orientation is an important part of the transition for first-year students at Kabarak University. The university, throughout this week, conducts orientation for new students at the main campus auditorium, which serves as a great platform for students to learn about the university's culture, resources, and expectations.
