On April 5th, 2025, Kabarak University was abuzz with energy as students from the Department of Computer Science organized a dynamic Supabase Backend Development Workshop. The event brought together students, software developers, and tech trainers for a deep dive into modern backend development using Supabase, an open-source alternative to Firebase.

On April 4, 2025, Kabarak University became a hub of meaningful engagement as students and staff convened for a crucial stakeholder forum on the Loans and Scholarships Appeals Mechanism. Organized by the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and the Universities Fund (UF), the session provided a platform for open dialogue on the challenges students face in accessing financial aid and the steps needed to improve the process.

The School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Kabarak University continues to soar. The Department of Nursing proudly celebrates the conferment of a PhD upon Dr. Doris Biwott Mengich, marking yet another academic achievement for the institution.

This weekend, Kabarak University proudly participated in the 2025 Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) Nationals held at Kenyatta University. The competition brought together the best university teams from across the country, providing an opportunity for athletes to showcase their dedication, talent, and sportsmanship on a national stage.

On March 27, 2025, Kabarak University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Henry K. Kiplangat, welcomed officials from the School of Law Alumni Association back to their alma mater for a highly engaging and strategic meeting with the university management. Also in attendance were members of the University Management Board, the Dean of the School of Law, Professor John Ambani, and faculty members from the school. 

One such remarkable alumna is Fatma Bunu, a 2022 Nursing graduate who has carved a niche for herself in the healthcare industry through her initiative, Swiftaid BLS Academy. Driven by her passion for emergency healthcare, Fatma established the academy to offer comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) training to medical professionals and the general public. Through her venture, she has not only equipped individuals with critical lifesaving skills but also created job opportunities in the medical training sector.
